A carbon monoxide leak has forced the evacuation of an East Glenville facility.
Conifer Park's D-wing houses nearly 65 patients -- 45 of those were transported to area hospitals in four counties after the leak was detected. There's no word on their conditions.
Niagara Mohawk is working to determine what caused the leak. Several fire departments and a hazmat team are at the scene.
Temporary housing will be set up for the residents who were forced to leave. Conifer Park is a rehabilitation center for substance abusers. |
